NYC stands for New York Color. It’s an extremely budget friendly brand in the USA (mostly up to $4.99). I bought this foundation stick in the shade “ivory”. Unfortunately there are no cosmetic testers in the USA in supermarkets/drugstores, so I had to choose a shade on sight only.
This product offers light covering in my opinion. It would be buildable to an extent but I wouldn’t go to crazy, I think it would end up quite dry and cakey. In winter time I have trouble with stick cosmetics (concealer, foundation etc.) as it tends to not apply as easily as in warmer weather. But a quick blast with my hair dryer fixes that! I might use this as a concealer after applying foundation, as the colour is a little bit light for me. I would still be able to pull it off full face with the help of some powder/bronzer/contouring. Not a bad product, but also not really a winner.
I am almost certain we used to get this brand at Pick n Pay, but I haven’t seen it in ages (am I wrong?)
